Rev. Dr. Karen Herrick explores how the American Psychological Association Book (Imants, 2023) has formally acknowledged life after death- as an Altered State of Consciousness. Though these developments in the mental health fields may be previously under-recognized to many practitioners, this recent book states there is consciousness after death due mainly to the many anomalous phenomena experienced as a result of Near-Death Experiences (NDEs), named in 1975. Participants will explore the complex nature of consciousness through a culturally-informed lens showing beliefs and practices related to death and the afterlife. It has been found that this life-after-death concept aids greatly for people in chronic grief. Your Boggle Threshold will be explained. *This webinar is live, real-time and interactive.
