A New “CE You! Plus” Full Day Webinar! This full day of training features 2 excellent classes. Class one is an ETHICS training that looks at addressing and preventing microaggressions in the therapy room. Class two examines the alarming increase in youth suicide rates in recent years among Hispanic, Black, Asian and Pacific Islander youth as well as the elevated risk of suicide among 2SLGBTQIA+ youth. We will explore strategies to break down barriers, increase cultural humility amongst providers and apply culturally responsive strategies in suicide prevention. Class 1 will provide a review of some common mental health and substance abuse disorders as defined in the DSM and offer guidance in developing effective treatment plans and interventions. Class 2 looks at the issue of sleep disturbances in children. (Studies show that up to 50% of children are affected by sleep disorders or difficulties!)
