With a focus on healthcare and mental health practice, participants will learn to recognize unconscious biases and develop greater awareness to reduce their impact on clinical care. Class 2 highlights the evidence supporting modern psychodynamic psychotherapy and its long-term effectiveness. Participants will gain an overview of contemporary psychodynamic theory, diagnosis, and treatment approaches. Class 1 meets the DC “Key Public Health Priorities” training criteria for DC licensees and it can also be used to fulfill the NEW Implicit Bias requirement for MICHIGAN and MARYLAND licensees.
