In Class 1, Human Trafficking expert, Laura Cusack, MSW, will provide insights into the high rates of crime, including human trafficking, experienced by people with disabilities and offer guidance on how to interact with and support victims. This class meets the Michigan Human Trafficking Requirement and meets DC “Key Public Health Priorities” training criteria for DC licensees. Class 2 will examine the intersection of sexual violence & racism. Participants will be provided with the critical tools for implementing anti-racism sexual violence intervention and prevention services specific to the needs of communities of color. Class 2 meets the New MARYLAND “Anti-Oppressive Practice” requirement as well as the DC “Key Public Health Priorities” training criteria for DC licensees, and Cultural Competence Criteria.
