Dr. Monique Swift, PsyD, LMHC, LPC examines racism beyond individual prejudice, focusing on how policies, institutions, and systems create and sustain racial inequities. Participants will explore structural racism, its impact on access to resources and opportunities, and the concept of community trauma, particularly in Black communities. The session concludes by introducing structural competency as a practical framework for addressing systemic inequities and promoting equity.
