Can two wrongs ever make a right? Spend an evening with Social Psychologist and Neuroscientist David Chester, PhD as he shares his original research and fascinating insights surrounding the mechanism of Revenge! Participants will enjoy Dr. Chester’s perspectives around identifying the temporary “sweetness” of revenge and the corresponding physiological response. We’ll also study the worsening mid and long term effects on the revenge seeker’s emotional state, as well as evidence and neuroscience -based interventions geared to promote helpful coping strategies and positive outcomes for individuals who feel “wronged”.

This webinar is a companion course with Dr. Chester’s corresponding presentation,
“Don’t Call Us, We’ll Call You”: Exploring the Science of Rejection. Please consult the full schedule to enjoy both sessions!

David Chester, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University. His research seeks to understand the psychological and neurobiological factors that cause and constrain aggressive behavior.
