Class I – 10:15 – 1:15

Positive Youth Development: A Creative and Ethical Perspective

This class will explore the Positive Youth Development Model. Participants will gain a better understanding of how to remain ethical and provide strength based services using the Positive Youth Development Model.  Attendees will look at some of the individual and systematic challenges we face in dealing with the needs of youth and young adults in providing quality services to these populations.

Through interactive discussions, handouts, and group activities this class will help professionals develop and enhance the ethical skills outlined in Section I of The NASW Code of Ethics and will elaborate on the importance of developing and teaching life skills to help prepare young people to become positive contributors to society as law abiding citizens. (Trainer, Tara Rice, LCSW-C, Director, The TARA Center)
