Enjoy a thought provoking and fascinating conversation with Nisha as participants will define Emotional Intelligence and its unique features in contrast to other forms of intelligence, distinguish how Emotional Intelligence plays a role in life and relationships, managing emotional reactions, as well as ascertain core skills associated with healthy Emotional Intelligence.

Nisha Tumber, MSW is the Director of Special Initiatives at a local nonprofit, has her masters of Social Work with a concentration in disability studies and has spent the last few years working with and advocating for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Currently, Nisha is working with Person Centered Care Services in ensuring that the disability community has their voice heard and this is done by hosting trainings and roundtables across New York State to educate folks about the importance of disability rights, justice and equity. Nisha lives by the phrase “be a voice, not an echo.” Nisha believes that being an advocate is more than just believing in change. Being an advocate means that you make change happen. Nisha aspires to continuously advocate and to implement policy changes that make equitable changes for people with disabilities.
