This One Day Seminar includes two excellent classes, a total of 6 category I CEUs. The cost for the full day is $99. You may attend an individual class for $59. Refreshments (healthy and not-so-healthy) are served through out the day. Parking is Free at this location

Class 1 – 10:00am-1:00pm

Crisis Intervention: Responding to the Midnight Call! (3 Category I CEUs)

We all know the feeling of answering the phone and hearing a client in crisis on the other end of the line. The client’s severe distress or escalated tone can unnerve even experienced clinicians. Participants will learn how to assess any crises, react effectively and draw on the client’s strengths to de-escalate situations. Attendees will examine some of the common mistakes that occur in crisis intervention and will come away with a highly effective approach to crisis intervention. Class 2 – 1:45pm- 4:45pm

QPR: Ask a question save a Life (3 Category I CEUs)

Everyday, 84 Americans die by Suicide. Suicide is actually the 11th leading form of death in the US.  Yet suicide is also the most preventable form of death.  The QPR Method will teach you 3 simple steps that can help you prevent a suicide. This interactive training will bust common myths about suicide. Participants will engage in realistic role play and increase their comfort level in working with suicidal clients. They will learn to recognize signs of suicidality, including situational, behavioral and verbal clues. They will walk away with a better understanding of the nature of suicide and how to work with clients in a suicidal crisis. (Trainer, Jeffrey Davidson, LCSW-C, LICSW, Executive Director, CE You!)

The Full Seminars consist of two trainings totaling 6 CEUs and costing $99. Participants can attend an individual class for $59. Includes refreshments (healthy and not-so healthy) through out the day.

Agencies sending 3 or more staff members only pay $89 per person for the full seminar.
