This class will offer some useful questions therapists can add to their toolbox when working with couples. What are some ways to start a session? How can you deepen the content? How can you effectively challenge clients? Whatever your theoretical orientation, you’ll gain some handy tools for treating couples effectively.

About the Presenter

Raffi Bilek, LCSW-C, is the director of the Baltimore Therapy Center, where he works primarily with couples, some of whom have answers to his questions, and some of whom do not.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Participants will be able to list areas of focus in a therapy session that might need further questioning.
  2. Participants will be able to cite questions they can use when seeking further understanding from couples they are working with.
  3. Participants will be able to list other disciplines from which to draw further questions and perspectives.
