This Two Day Seminar, which meets the requirement for Maryland Supervisor Certification training, is also a great way for seasoned supervisors and managers to improve their leadership and management skills. Participants earn a total of 12 Category I CEUs. Social workers will get the full 12 credits needed to apply for supervision certification. LCPCs can apply this towards their 18 hour Supervision Certification Requirement (CE You! has additional training to complete the 18 hours)
Refreshments (healthy and not-so healthy) are served throughout the day. The cost of this seminar is $199.
Each Day training will take place from 10:0am-4:45pm with a 45 minute lunch break.

Seminar Overview
Participants to this interactive training will look at effective methods of supervision as well as the Maryland state requirements and expectations for supervisors. This class will provide an overview of the basic skills and resources necessary for effective general supervision.
We will examine the role, function, and characteristics of an effective supervisor and learn the basics of personnel management. Attendees will take a look at the best identified management practices. We will explore the supervisor’s role as leader and as negotiator between senior management and direct staff. Participants will come to understand what traits and skills are necessary for effective management and leadership
