Rev. Dr. Karen Herrick explores how the American Psychological Association Book (Imants, 2023) has formally acknowledged life after death- as an Altered State of Consciousness. Though these developments in the mental health fields may be previously under-recognized to many practitioners, this recent book states there is consciousness after death due mainly to the many anomalous phenomena experienced as a result of Near-Death Experiences (NDEs), named in 1975. Participants will explore the complex nature of consciousness through a culturally-informed lens showing beliefs and practices related to death and the afterlife. It has been found that this life-after-death concept aids greatly for people in chronic grief. Your Boggle Threshold will be explained. *This webinar is live, real-time and interactive. Participants will earn 3 CE Credits – Cultural Competence.*

Join Clinical Social Worker Karen Landmann, LCSW, for a deeper look at what we know about Stockholm Syndrome here and now. Participants will gain enhanced knowledge surrounding the definition and identifying characteristics of Stockholm Syndrome and its underestimated and often overlooked prevalence in relationships as well as social structure. This webinar is live, real-time and interactive. Participants will earn 3 CE Credits – Trauma.*

Shame can be a powerful and confusing emotion. In this webinar, therapist Shira Sameroff, LCSW, offers mental health professionals a deeper understanding of shame’s origins and development in clients. We’ll explore how shame impacts emotional well-being and shapes relational patterns. Additionally, we’ll delve into the crucial distinctions between shame and guilt, equipping you to effectively guide clients through their experiences. Finally, the webinar sheds light on the significant influence of cultural and societal messages on shame expression, allowing you to provide culturally sensitive and effective support. *This webinar is live, real-time and interactive. Participants will earn 3 CE Credits.*
