This section examines regulatory frameworks such as the Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), alongside critical environmental health laws including the Clean Air and Clean Water Acts. This webinar examines rising suicide rates among Hispanic, Black, Asian, Pacific Islander, and 2SLGBTQIA+ youth, highlighting disparities when compared to White and cisgender peers. Grounded in the Cultural Theory and Model of Suicide for Youth, the session explores culture as both a risk and protective factor, offering strategies to enhance cultural humility and implement culturally responsive approaches to suicide prevention. A “CE You! Plus” Previously Recorded Webinar! LGBTQ individuals are at an elevated risk of experiencing suicidality and suicide, and there is a need for treatment modalities that can address the unique needs of this community when providing treatment. We know that culturally competent care is one of the most important protective factors for members of the LGBTQ community. This class will help attendees gain competency and awareness of the community and unique elements for providing care. Earn 4 CE Credits.

Founded in 2010, CE You! has grown to become one of the top providers of Social Work and Mental Health Continuing Education in the Maryland and DC area. Our goal is to provide high quality trainings in a friendly atmosphere at a reasonable cost. At CE You! We believe that Continuing Ed. classes should be enjoyable and leave you feeling refreshed, more knowledgeable and ready to tackle your toughest cases.
During the coming year we are looking to expand our training in the New York area. We are also continuing the process of becoming certified to offer continuing education for mental health counselors in NY and for social workers in New Jersey as well. So, stay posted!
