In this new webinar, Joseph Goldfield, LCSW, introduces the “Defense Attorney” Technique, a structured, six-step approach for challenging a client’s troubling, irrational thoughts. Participants will learn how to screen clients to determine if they are likely to benefit from the technique and will be able to clearly state and apply the steps of the model. A “CE You! Plus” Full Day Friday Webinar! In Class 1, discover how Implicit Bias may contribute to unconscious attitudes and stereotypes that can manifest in the workplace, school setting, and in the healthcare system. Class 2 provides a framework for supervisors to navigate ethical dilemmas and make informed decisions that mitigate liability, support their supervisees, and safeguard clients from harm. Class 1 can be used to fulfill the NEW Implicit Bias requirement for MICHIGAN and MARYLAND licensees as well as the MARYLAND Anti-Oppressive Practice training. Class 2 class fulfills the ETHICS requirement. Both classes meet the DC “Key Public Health Priorities” training criteria for DC licensees. Earn up to 6 CE credits!

CLASS 1 examines dual and multiple relationships through diverse case examples, highlighting ethical considerations and professional boundaries, particularly in communities where such relationships may be unavoidable, including rural areas, religious groups, LGBTQ individuals, and veterans. In CLASS 2, award-winning author and internationally acclaimed speaker Dr. Robert Muller explores countertransference and relational ruptures in trauma-focused psychotherapy, offering practical, attachment-informed strategies for repairing the therapeutic alliance and supporting healing. CLASS 3 examines research on factors that may increase women’s vulnerability to sexual assault—often perpetrated by known individuals—and offers guidance on assessment and collaborative safety planning to help mitigate risk. A “CE You! Plus” Morning Webinar! Moral Injury is an emerging concept in the field of trauma response. This workshop will examine the history of moral injury beginning in the dark days of the Holocaust through the emerging research that is being published about COVID-19 and the impact of moral injury on healthcare public sector workers. Clinicians will learn about how to identify and treat moral injury, and strategies to protect themselves from the harm of moral injury. Earn 3 CE Credits!

Founded in 2010, CE You! has grown to become one of the top providers of Social Work and Mental Health Continuing Education in the Maryland and DC area. Our goal is to provide high quality trainings in a friendly atmosphere at a reasonable cost. At CE You! We believe that Continuing Ed. classes should be enjoyable and leave you feeling refreshed, more knowledgeable and ready to tackle your toughest cases.
During the coming year we are looking to expand our training in the New York area. We are also continuing the process of becoming certified to offer continuing education for mental health counselors in NY and for social workers in New Jersey as well. So, stay posted!
